Who we are

The Construction Law Foundation of Ohio (CLFO) is a nonprofit organization committed to safeguarding civil liberties and advancing the principles of freedom and free enterprise within the construction industry. We serve as a legal and educational resource for merit shop contractors, businesses, and individuals who believe that opportunity should be earned - not granted through favoritism or coercion.

What we believe

CLFO envisions an Ohio where the construction industry thrives in a true free-market system - where projects are awarded based on merit and competition. In this environment, businesses operate freely and fairly, without excessive government interference, overregulation, or dependency on public subsidies.

What we do

We support Ohio’s merit shop construction community through:

Legal Support - Offering guidance and resources to help businesses and individuals protect their rights and navigate complex legal issues.

Education & Outreach - Providing training, workshops, and publications to promote awareness of legal rights, regulatory compliance, and best practices.

Empowerment through information - Helping merit-based contractors understand their options and make informed decisions that align with the values of open competition and individual achievement.
